Rick Astley is a British singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1980s with his hit song "Never Gonna Give You Up." In 1987, he released his debut single "Never Gonna Give You Up," which became a worldwide success and topped the charts in 25 countries.
Astley's debut album, "Whenever You Need Somebody," was also a commercial success, selling over 15 million copies worldwide. He continued to release albums throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, with hits like "Together Forever" and "Cry for Help." After taking a break from the music industry, Astley made a comeback in 2007 and gained a new wave of popularity through the internet phenomenon known as "Rickrolling," where internet users were tricked into clicking on a link to his music video for "Never Gonna Give You Up."
