Rick Nelson, born Eric Hilliard Nelson, was an American singer, musician, and actor. He was born on May 8, 1940, in Teaneck, New Jersey, and rose to fame as a teen idol during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Nelson's music career began with his family band, The Nelsons, which later became known as Ricky Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band. He is best known for hits such as "Poor Little Fool," "Travelin' Man," and "Hello Mary Lou."
In addition to his successful music career, Rick Nelson also had a successful acting career, appearing in television shows such as "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," where he played himself. Nelson tragically died in a plane crash on December 31, 1985, at the age of 45. Despite his untimely death, Rick Nelson's music continues to be celebrated and remembered by fans around the world.
