Artist Bio:
Rick Nelson, born Eric Hilliard Nelson on May 8, 1940, was an American singer, musician, and actor. He rose to fame as a rock and roll star in the late 1950s and early 1960s, establishing himself as a teen idol with hits such as "Poor Little Fool" and "Travelin' Man." Nelson was also known for his role as Ricky Nelson in the popular television show "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," which aired from 1952 to 1966.


In addition to his success in music and television, Nelson continued to have a successful music career throughout the 1970s and 1980s, with hits such as "Garden Party" and "Hello Mary Lou." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. Tragically, Nelson died in a plane crash on December 31, 1985, while en route to a New Year's Eve concert in Texas. He left behind a lasting legacy as a beloved entertainer and a pioneer in the early days of rock and roll.
