Artist Bio:
Rick Nelson, born Eric Hilliard Nelson on May 8, 1940, was an American singer, musician, and actor. He rose to fame as a teen idol during the late 1950s and early 1960s with hits such as "Poor Little Fool," "Travelin' Man," and "Hello Mary Lou." Nelson was also known for his role as Ricky Nelson in the television series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," which aired from 1952 to 1966 and featured his real-life family.


Throughout his music career, Nelson experimented with different musical styles, including rock and roll, country, and rockabilly. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. Tragically, Rick Nelson died in a plane crash on December 31, 1985, while en route to a New Year's Eve concert in Dallas, Texas. Nelson's contributions to the world of music and entertainment continue to be celebrated by fans and fellow artists alike.
