He gained fame as a teen idol during the late 1950s and early 1960s, with hits like "Poor Little Fool," "Lonesome Town," and "Travelin' Man." Nelson's music style blended rock and roll with country, leading to a string of successful singles and albums.
In addition to his music career, Nelson also appeared in various films and television shows, most notably as a cast member on the popular sitcom "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," where he played a fictionalized version of himself. Nelson's career spanned over four decades, during which he released numerous albums and singles, solidifying his status as one of the pioneering artists of rock and roll music. Tragically, Nelson passed away in a plane crash on December 31, 1985, at the age of 45.
