Artist Bio:
Ricky Nelson, born Eric Hilliard Nelson on May 8, 1940, was an American singer, musician, and actor. He gained fame as a teen idol in the late 1950s and early 1960s, with hit songs such as "Poor Little Fool," "Travelin' Man," and "Hello Mary Lou." Nelson was also known for his role as Ricky Nelson on the popular television sitcom "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," which aired from 1952 to 1966. He was one of the first teen idols to successfully transition from music to acting.


Throughout his career, Nelson released numerous albums and singles, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. Tragically, Nelson died in a plane crash on December 31, 1985, at the age of 45. Despite his untimely death, Ricky Nelson's music and legacy continue to be celebrated by fans around the world.
