Ricky Nelson, born Eric Hilliard Nelson in 1940, was an American musician, singer, and actor. He rose to fame as a teenage idol in the late 1950s, with hits like "Poor Little Fool" and "Travelin' Man." Nelson became one of the early pioneers of rock and roll music and starred in the popular television series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet." Throughout his career, Nelson recorded over 50 songs that reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Tragically, he died in a plane crash in 1985 at the age of 45. Nelson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
