Ricky Nelson, born Eric Hilliard Nelson on May 8, 1940, in Teaneck, New Jersey, was an American singer, musician, and actor. He rose to fame as a teenage heartthrob on the television series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," where he showcased his musical talents. Nelson's success on the show led to a successful music career, with hits like "Poor Little Fool," "Travelin' Man," and "Hello Mary Lou." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. Nelson tragically died in a plane crash on December 31, 1985, but his music continues to be celebrated and remembered by fans around the world.
