Rob Base & D.J. E-Z Rock were an American hip hop duo known for their hit song "It Takes Two." The duo consisted of Rob Base, whose real name is Robert Ginyard, and D.J. E-Z Rock, whose real name is Rodney "Skip" Bryce. "It Takes Two" was released in 1988 and became a major hit, reaching number three on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart and number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is considered a hip hop classic and has been sampled and covered by numerous artists.


Rob Base & D.J. E-Z Rock released their debut album, also titled "It Takes Two," in 1988. The album was well-received and helped solidify the duo's place in hip hop history.
