Artist Bio:
Robert Hazard was an American musician and songwriter born on August 21, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He gained recognition for writing the popular song "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," which became a hit for Cyndi Lauper in 1983. Hazard initially recorded the song himself in 1979, but it was his version that brought it to Lauper's attention.

Aside from his success as a songwriter, Hazard also released several albums as a solo artist, including "Wing of Fire" in 1984 and "Darling" in 1992. His music style blended elements of rock, new wave, and pop, earning him a dedicated following. Hazard continued to write and perform music throughout his career until his passing on August 5, 2008, at the age of 59.
