Rockets is a French space rock band formed in Paris in 1974. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Christian Le Bartz, guitarist Gérard L'Her, bassist Alain Maratrat, keyboardist Fabrice Quagliotti, and drummer Alain Groetzinger. They were known for their futuristic and electronic sound, drawing inspiration from bands like Kraftwerk and Pink Floyd. Rockets gained popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits such as "Space Rock" and "Future Woman."
Throughout their career, Rockets released several albums including their self-titled debut album in 1976, followed by "On the Road Again" in 1978 and "Plasteroid" in 1979. Their music often featured themes of space exploration and science fiction, reflected in their stage outfits and performances. Despite undergoing lineup changes over the years, Rockets continued to produce music and perform live shows, maintaining a dedicated fan base in France and beyond.
