They released their debut album, "Seconds of Pleasure," in 1980, which received critical acclaim and achieved moderate commercial success. The album featured hits like "Teacher Teacher" and "When I Write the Book."
Rockpile was known for their energetic live performances and tight musicianship. Despite their talent and popularity, internal tensions and conflicting egos within the band led to their breakup in 1981.
