Artist Bio:
Rod Lauren, born Roger Lawrence Strunk on March 20, 1940, was an American actor and singer. He is best known for his hit single "If I Had a Girl" which reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1960. Lauren started his career as an actor, appearing in several films and television shows in the 1950s and 1960s, including "The Virginian" and "The Loretta Young Show."


In addition to his music and acting career, Rod Lauren also served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Despite his relatively short-lived success in the music industry, Lauren's smooth voice and charming persona left a lasting impact on fans of early 1960s pop music.
