Roger Daltrey is an English singer, songwriter, and actor, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band The Who. He was born on March 1, 1944, in London, England. Daltrey co-founded The Who in 1964 along with guitarist Pete Townshend, bassist John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. He is known for his powerful and energetic stage presence, as well as his distinctive vocal style. Daltrey has been a key figure in the British rock music scene for over five decades, and The Who is considered one of the most influential rock bands of all time.


In addition to his music career, Daltrey has also pursued acting, appearing in films such as "Tommy" and "McVicar," as well as television shows like "The Simpsons" and "CSI." He has also released several solo albums and has been involved in various charity work, including founding the Teenage Cancer Trust charity in the UK. Roger Daltrey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Who in 1990.
