Roger Miller was an American singer-songwriter and actor, born on January 2, 1936, in Fort Worth, Texas. He is best known for his country music hits in the 1960s, including "King of the Road," "Dang Me," and "Engine Engine #9." Miller's music often blended humor and wit with heartfelt storytelling, earning him multiple Grammy Awards and induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1995.


In addition to his successful music career, Roger Miller also found success in acting, appearing in films such as "Robin Hood" and "Walt Disney's The Jungle Book." He also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical "Big River," based on Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." Roger Miller passed away on October 25, 1992, leaving behind a lasting legacy in both the music and entertainment industries.
