Roger Miller was an American singer-songwriter and actor, born on January 2, 1936, in Fort Worth, Texas. He is best known for his honky-tonk-influenced country music and his witty and clever songwriting style. Miller achieved commercial success with hits like "King of the Road," "Dang Me," and "England Swings," which earned him multiple Grammy Awards in the 1960s.


In addition to his musical talents, Miller was also a talented actor, appearing in films such as "Robin Hood" and "Walt Disney's The Jungle Book," where he provided the voice for the character of the rooster, Alan-a-Dale. Roger Miller was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1995 and remains a respected figure in the country music genre. He passed away on October 25, 1992, leaving behind a legacy of timeless music and memorable performances.
