Ronnie and The Hi-Lites were an American vocal group formed in the 1960s in Jersey City, New Jersey. The group consisted of Ronnie Goodson, Marshall "Rocky" Thompson, Bernard Stephenson, and Stanley Brown. They were known for their smooth harmonies and soulful sound, which helped them gain popularity in the R&B and doo-wop music scene.
Ronnie and The Hi-Lites achieved their biggest success with their hit single "I Wish That We Were Married" in 1962, which reached #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group continued to release music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, but they never quite replicated the success of their debut single. Despite this, Ronnie and The Hi-Lites are remembered as a talented vocal group that made a significant contribution to the R&B music landscape of the time.
