Ronnie Dyson was an American singer and actor born on June 5, 1950, in Washington, D.C. He began his music career at a young age, singing in church choirs and local talent shows. Dyson gained national attention in 1968 when he starred in the Broadway musical "Hair," where he performed the song "Aquarius."


In 1970, Dyson released his debut album, "One Man Band," which included his hit single "(If You Let Me Make Love To You Then) Why Can't I Touch You?," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Throughout his career, Dyson released several albums and continued to perform in musical theater productions. He also appeared in films such as "Hair" and "The Cotton Club." Ronnie Dyson's talent and soulful voice left a lasting impact on the music industry, and he is remembered as a talented performer who contributed to the soul and R&B genres. Dyson tragically passed away on November 10, 1990, at the age of 40.
