Dyson's most well-known hit song was "One Man Band (Plays All Alone)," which reached the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1973. He also had success with other singles such as "When You Get Right Down to It" and "If You Let Me Make Love to You Then Why Can't I Touch You?"
In addition to his music career, Dyson was also a Broadway performer, starring in productions such as "Hair" and "Jesus Christ Superstar."
