Ronnie Dyson was an American singer and actor who was born on June 5, 1950, in Washington, D.C. He rose to fame in the late 1960s and early 1970s as a talented performer in both the music and theater industries. Dyson's most well-known hit song was "One Man Band (Plays All Alone)," which reached the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1973. He also had success with other singles such as "When You Get Right Down to It" and "If You Let Me Make Love to You Then Why Can't I Touch You?"


In addition to his music career, Dyson was also a Broadway performer, starring in productions such as "Hair" and "Jesus Christ Superstar." He was known for his soulful voice and charismatic stage presence, which garnered him a loyal fan base. Tragically, Ronnie Dyson passed away on November 10, 1990, at the age of 40 due to heart failure. Despite his untimely death, his music and performances continue to be remembered and appreciated by fans around the world.
