Rose Royce is an American R&B and soul group formed in Los Angeles, California, in the 1970s. The group is best known for their hit singles such as "Car Wash," which was featured in the movie of the same name and won a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack Album. Rose Royce was created by producer Norman Whitfield, who also worked with other successful artists such as The Temptations and Marvin Gaye. The group's sound is characterized by their smooth harmonies and funky rhythms, blending elements of disco, funk, and soul music.


Rose Royce achieved commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s with several chart-topping hits, including "I Wanna Get Next to You" and "Love Don't Live Here Anymore."
