Artist Bio:
Rotary Connection was a psychedelic soul band formed in Chicago in 1966. The group was known for their innovative blend of rock, soul, and psychedelic music, as well as their unique and eclectic sound. Rotary Connection was fronted by the powerful vocals of Minnie Riperton and featured arrangements by Charles Stepney. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1967, followed by several more albums throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The band gained a cult following for their experimental and genre-defying music, and their influence can be heard in the work of artists such as Erykah Badu and Kanye West. Despite their critical acclaim and innovative sound, Rotary Connection never achieved mainstream commercial success and disbanded in the early 1970s. Minnie Riperton went on to have a successful solo career, known for her hit song "Lovin' You."
