Roxette was a Swedish pop rock duo consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. The duo achieved international success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their catchy pop songs and powerful ballads. Their breakthrough came with the single "The Look" in 1989, which topped the charts in the United States. They went on to have several other hits, including "Listen to Your Heart," "It Must Have Been Love," and "Joyride." Roxette's music was known for its energetic melodies, strong vocals, and emotional lyrics.
Marie Fredriksson sadly passed away in December 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Per Gessle continues to perform as a solo artist and released new music after Roxette disbanded in 2016. Roxette's music continues to be loved by fans around the world, and their legacy as one of Sweden's most successful musical exports remains strong.
