Artist Bio:
Roy Hamilton was an American singer known for his smooth and powerful voice, often referred to as "The Golden Boy of Song." He was born on April 16, 1929, in Leesburg, Georgia, and began his music career in the 1940s as a gospel singer. Hamilton gained popularity in the 1950s and 1960s for his soulful renditions of popular songs, often blending R&B, gospel, and pop influences.

Hamilton's biggest hits include "You'll Never Walk Alone," "Unchained Melody," and "Don't Let Go." He was one of the first artists to bring a gospel-infused style to mainstream pop music, paving the way for future soul singers. Despite his success, Hamilton's career was cut short by a stroke in 1969, which left him partially paralyzed. He passed away on July 20, 1969, at the age of 40, but his influence on the music industry continues to be felt to this day.
