Artist Bio:
Roy Head and The Traits were an American rock band formed in San Marcos, Texas in the early 1960s. The band was fronted by the charismatic Roy Head, who was known for his powerful vocals and energetic stage presence. They are best known for their hit single "Treat Her Right," which was released in 1965 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was a blend of rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and soul, and showcased Head's dynamic singing style.
Roy Head and The Traits continued to release music throughout the 1960s, but they were unable to replicate the success of "Treat Her Right." Despite this, the band remained popular on the live circuit and continued to perform together until the late 1960s. Roy Head went on to have a successful solo career, but his time with The Traits remains a notable chapter in the history of rock and roll.
