Ruby and the Romantics were an American R&B group formed in Akron, Ohio in 1961. The group consisted of Ruby Nash, Leroy Fann, Ed Roberts, George Lee, and Ronald Mosley. They are best known for their hit single "Our Day Will Come," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1963. The song also earned them a gold record.
Following the success of "Our Day Will Come," Ruby and the Romantics went on to release other popular songs such as "My Summer Love" and "Hey There Lonely Boy." They continued to record music throughout the 1960s and early 1970s before disbanding in 1971. Despite their relatively short career, Ruby and the Romantics left a lasting impact on the music industry with their smooth harmonies and soulful sound.
