Ruby and the Romantics were an American R&B group formed in Akron, Ohio in 1961. The group consisted of lead singer Ruby Nash and four male members: Leroy Fann, Ronald Mosely, George Lee, and Ed Roberts. They are best known for their 1963 hit single "Our Day Will Come," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became a million-selling gold-certified record. The song also reached the top 20 on the UK Singles Chart and has been covered by various artists over the years.
Throughout the 1960s, Ruby and the Romantics released several other successful singles, including "My Summer Love" and "Hey There Lonely Boy." They were known for their smooth harmonies and romantic ballads, which helped them carve out a niche in the music industry during the doo-wop and early soul music era.
