Artist Bio:
Ruby and the Romantics were an American R&B group formed in Akron, Ohio, in 1961. The group consisted of Ruby Nash, Leroy Fann, George Lee, and Ed Roberts. They are best known for their hit single "Our Day Will Come," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1963. The song also earned them a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock and Roll Recording.
Following the success of "Our Day Will Come," Ruby and the Romantics had several other charting singles, including "My Summer Love" and "Hey There Lonely Boy." They continued to record music throughout the 1960s and early 1970s, but never replicated the success of their debut hit. Despite this, they remain a notable group in the history of R&B music, known for their smooth harmonies and romantic ballads.
