Rufus was a funk band formed in the 1970s with Chaka Khan as their lead singer. They released hits such as "Tell Me Something Good," "Sweet Thing," and "Ain't Nobody." Chaka Khan's powerful vocals and the band's unique blend of funk, soul, and R&B made them popular in the music scene.


Chaka Khan eventually pursued a successful solo career, winning multiple Grammy Awards and becoming known as the "Queen of Funk." Rufus and Chaka Khan were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018, recognizing their influence and contribution to music.
