Rush was a Canadian rock band formed in 1968 in Toronto, Ontario. The band consisted of guitarist Alex Lifeson, bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee, and drummer Neil Peart. Rush was known for its complex compositions, virtuosic musicianship, and philosophical lyrics. The band's music spanned multiple genres, including progressive rock, hard rock, and heavy metal, and they were considered one of the most influential rock bands of all time.
Rush released 19 studio albums, with their most successful ones including "2112", "Moving Pictures", and "Permanent Waves". They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 and have sold over 40 million records worldwide. Rush officially disbanded in 2018 following Neil Peart's retirement due to health issues.
