Sam The Sham and the Pharaohs was an American rock band formed in Dallas, Texas in 1961. The group's frontman and namesake, Domingo "Sam" Samudio, led the band with his unique vocals and stage presence. The band's most famous song, "Wooly Bully," was released in 1965 and became a huge hit, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
