Sammy Hagar, born on October 13, 1947, is an American rock vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. He first rose to fame in the 1970s as the lead singer of the band Montrose, before achieving even greater success as the frontman of Van Halen from 1985 to 1996. Hagar's time with Van Halen produced several hit albums, including "5150" and "OU812."
After leaving Van Halen, Hagar embarked on a successful solo career, releasing albums such as "Standing Hampton" and "Marching to Mars." He is known for his energetic live performances and his distinctive rock voice. In addition to his music career, Hagar is also a successful entrepreneur, having founded the Cabo Wabo Tequila brand and several restaurants. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen in 2007.
