Sammy Hagar is an American rock vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter who was born on October 13, 1947, in Salinas, California. He is best known for his solo career as well as his time as the lead singer of the rock band Van Halen from 1985 to 1996. Hagar first gained fame in the 1970s as the lead singer of the band Montrose before launching a successful solo career in the 1980s.


Hagar has released several solo albums, with hits such as "I Can't Drive 55" and "Your Love is Driving Me Crazy." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen in 2007. In addition to his music career, Hagar is also a successful businessman, owning the popular tequila brand Cabo Wabo. He continues to perform and tour, showcasing his high-energy rock performances to audiences around the world.
