Artist Bio:
San Remo Golden Strings was a studio group assembled by Motown Records in the 1960s. The group's lineup consisted of various session musicians and members of Motown's in-house band, The Funk Brothers. They released their debut album, "Hungry for Love," in 1966, which featured instrumental covers of popular songs of the time. The album was well-received and reached #24 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Despite their success, San Remo Golden Strings remained a relatively obscure group, known primarily for their instrumental arrangements and studio work. They released a few more albums throughout the late 1960s, including "Swing" and "Joy Road," before disbanding. Today, San Remo Golden Strings are remembered as a talented studio group that contributed to the sound of Motown during the 1960s.
