Saraya is a rock band formed in New Jersey in 1987. The band was fronted by lead vocalist Sandi Saraya, who was known for her powerful voice and energetic stage presence. The other members of the band included guitarist Tony "Bruno" Rey, keyboardist Gregg Munier, bassist Gary Taylor, and drummer Chuck Bonfante. Saraya released their self-titled debut album in 1989, which featured the hit single "Love Has Taken Its Toll."
The band's sound was a mix of hard rock and glam metal, and they gained a following in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Despite their initial success, Saraya disbanded in the early 1990s. Sandi Saraya continued to pursue a career in music, releasing solo material and collaborating with other artists. The legacy of Saraya lives on through their music, which continues to be enjoyed by fans of 80s rock.
