Scandal is a rock band formed in New York City in 1981. The band's most well-known lineup consisted of Patty Smyth as the lead vocalist, Zack Smith on guitar, Keith Mack on bass, Benjy King on keyboard, and Thommy Price on drums. Scandal's self-titled debut album, released in 1982, featured the hit single "Goodbye to You," which received significant airplay on radio and MTV. In 1984, the band released their second album, "Warrior," which included the successful singles "The Warrior" and "Beat of a Heart."
Patty Smyth, the lead vocalist of Scandal, is a singer-songwriter who joined the band in 1981. She achieved further success as a solo artist with her album "Never Enough" in 1987, which featured the hit song "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough," a duet with Don Henley. Smyth left Scandal in 1984 to pursue her solo career but reunited with the band in the late 2000s for live performances and new music.
