Artist Bio:
Seals & Crofts was an American soft rock duo comprised of James "Jim" Seals and Darrell "Dash" Crofts. They were active from the late 1960s through the 1970s, achieving commercial success with their blend of folk, pop, and rock music. The duo is best known for their hit songs "Summer Breeze," "Diamond Girl," and "Get Closer," which all reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Seals & Crofts' music is characterized by intricate vocal harmonies and introspective lyrics, reflecting their spiritual beliefs as members of the Baha'i Faith.

In addition to their musical careers, both Seals and Crofts were accomplished musicians. Seals played guitar and sang lead vocals, while Crofts played various instruments including the mandolin, guitar, and keyboard. The duo's music often incorporated elements of world music, such as Middle Eastern and Latin influences, contributing to their unique sound. Seals & Crofts were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004, recognizing their contributions to the soft rock genre.
