Seven Mary Three is an American post-grunge band that was formed in 1992 in Williamsburg, Virginia. The band's name is a reference to a band member's childhood television program CHiPs, where actor Erik Estrada's character was known as Officer Jon Baker, badge number 7-Mary-3. The band's original lineup consisted of Jason Ross on vocals, Jason Pollock on guitar, Casey Daniel on bass, and Giti Khalsa on drums.
Seven Mary Three gained mainstream success with their hit single "Cumbersome" from their debut album, "American Standard," released in 1995. The band's sound is characterized by a mix of alternative rock and post-grunge elements, with emotionally charged lyrics and catchy melodies. They have released a total of eight studio albums to date, with their most recent being "Dis/Location" in 2018. Seven Mary Three continues to tour and perform live, bringing their unique brand of music to audiences around the world.
