Artist Bio:
Shalamar is an American R&B and soul music group that was formed in 1977. The group originally consisted of members Jody Watley, Jeffrey Daniel, and Gerald Brown. They are known for their hit songs such as "The Second Time Around," "A Night to Remember," and "Make That Move." Shalamar achieved success in the late 1970s and early 1980s, blending disco, funk, and soul music to create their signature sound.

In the early 1980s, Brown was replaced by Howard Hewett, who became the lead vocalist of the group. This lineup change led to even greater success for Shalamar, with hit songs like "Dancing in the Sheets" and "Dead Giveaway." The group continued to release music throughout the 1980s before disbanding in the late 1980s. Despite various lineup changes over the years, Shalamar remains a beloved and influential group in the history of R&B and soul music.
