Shawnna, whose full name is Rashawnna Guy, is an American rapper and singer from Chicago, Illinois. She is the daughter of blues guitarist Buddy Guy. Shawnna first gained recognition as a member of the rap group Infamous Syndicate in the late 1990s. She later signed to Def Jam Recordings as a solo artist and released her debut album, "Worth Tha Weight," in 2004. The album featured the hit single "Gettin' Some," which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
