Shawty Lo, whose real name was Carlos Walker, was an American rapper and founding member of the hip-hop group D4L. He was born on March 22, 1976, in Atlanta, Georgia. Shawty Lo gained fame with his hit single "Dey Know," which peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2007. He also released other popular songs such as "Foolish" and "Dunn Dunn."
In addition to his solo career, Shawty Lo was known for his entrepreneurial endeavors, including founding the record label D4L Records. Tragically, Shawty Lo passed away on September 21, 2016, in a car accident in Atlanta. Despite his untimely death, Shawty Lo's impact on the hip-hop community continues to be remembered through his music and contributions to the genre.
