Shelley Fabares is an American actress and singer, born on January 19, 1944, in Santa Monica, California. She is best known for her role as Mary Stone on the popular television series "The Donna Reed Show," which aired from 1958 to 1966. Fabares also had a successful music career, with her biggest hit being "Johnny Angel," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1962.
In addition to her work on "The Donna Reed Show," Shelley Fabares appeared in various films and television shows throughout her career, including "Girl Happy" (1965) with Elvis Presley and "Coach" (1989-1997) as Christine Armstrong. She received a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the television movie "Brian's Song" (1971). Fabares continues to be remembered as a talented actress and singer from the golden era of Hollywood.
