Artist Bio:
Shep and the Limelites were an American doo-wop group formed in Queens, New York, in 1961. The group consisted of James "Shep" Sheppard, Clarence Bassett, and Charles Baskerville. Shep had previously been a member of the popular doo-wop group, The Heartbeats.

Shep and the Limelites are best known for their hit single "Daddy's Home," which was released in 1961 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was a crossover success, also reaching the top of the R&B chart. Despite the success of "Daddy's Home," the group struggled to replicate its success with subsequent releases. Shep and the Limelites disbanded in the mid-1960s, but their music continues to be celebrated by doo-wop fans and collectors.
