Artist Bio:
Shirley & Lee were an American R&B vocal duo, consisting of Shirley Goodman and Leonard Lee. They are best known for their hit song "Let the Good Times Roll", which reached number 1 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1956. The duo's music was a blend of R&B, rock and roll, and doo-wop, and they were one of the early pioneers of the New Orleans sound.

Shirley & Lee first met as teenagers in a New Orleans record shop, and their harmonious vocals and catchy melodies quickly caught the attention of the music industry. They went on to record several more hits together, including "I'm Gone" and "Feel So Good". Despite their success, the duo eventually split in 1963 to pursue solo careers. Shirley Goodman continued to have a successful career as a solo artist, while Leonard Lee focused more on songwriting. Shirley & Lee's music remains influential in the development of R&B and rock and roll music.
