Artist Bio:
Shoes is an American power pop band formed in Zion, Illinois in 1974. The band consists of founding members Jeff Murphy (vocals, guitar) and Gary Klebe (vocals, guitar), as well as John Murphy (bass) and John Richardson (drums). Shoes gained popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s with their melodic, guitar-driven sound and catchy hooks.


Shoes released several albums including "Black Vinyl Shoes" (1977), "Present Tense" (1979), and "Tongue Twister" (1981). They are often associated with the power pop and new wave music scenes of the time. Shoes continue to perform and record music, with their most recent album "Ignition" released in 2012. They are considered influential in the power pop genre and have a dedicated fan base.
