Simon & Garfunkel were an American folk rock duo composed of singer-songwriter Paul Simon and singer Art Garfunkel. They rose to fame in the 1960s with their close vocal harmonies and thoughtful lyrics, becoming one of the best-selling music groups of the decade. Some of their most famous songs include "The Sound of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson," and "Bridge Over Troubled Water."


The duo released five studio albums, including their critically acclaimed "Bridge Over Troubled Water," which won six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. Simon & Garfunkel disbanded in 1970 to pursue solo careers but reunited for various tours and performances over the years. Despite their occasional differences, Simon & Garfunkel's music continues to be celebrated for its timeless quality and enduring popularity.
