Slade is a British rock band formed in Wolverhampton in 1966. The band's classic lineup consisted of lead vocalist Noddy Holder, guitarist Dave Hill, drummer Don Powell, and bassist Jim Lea. Slade rose to prominence during the glam rock era of the early 1970s with a string of hit singles including "Cum On Feel the Noize," "Mama Weer All Crazee Now," and "Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me."


Known for their catchy songs, energetic live performances, and distinctive glam rock image, Slade became one of the most popular and successful bands of their time. They achieved six number one singles in the UK and three number one albums. Slade's music continues to be celebrated and their influence can be heard in the work of many contemporary artists.
