Artist Bio:
Slade is a British rock band formed in Wolverhampton in 1966. The band consists of members Noddy Holder, Jim Lea, Dave Hill, and Don Powell. Slade achieved commercial success in the 1970s with a string of hit singles, including "Cum On Feel the Noize," "Mama Weer All Crazee Now," and "Merry Xmas Everybody." They were known for their catchy songs, energetic live performances, and flamboyant glam rock image.
Slade has sold over 50 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. They were particularly popular in the UK, where they scored 17 consecutive top 20 hits and six number ones. Slade's influence can be seen in the music of later bands such as Kiss, Quiet Riot, and Oasis. Despite various lineup changes over the years, Slade continues to perform and tour, with Noddy Holder and Jim Lea no longer part of the band.
