Artist Bio:
Sly & The Family Stone was an American band formed in 1966 in San Francisco. The band was known for their innovative fusion of rock, funk, and soul music, as well as their socially conscious lyrics. Led by the enigmatic Sly Stone, the band achieved mainstream success in the late 1960s and early 1970s with hits like "Everyday People," "Dance to the Music," and "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)."


Sly & The Family Stone were pioneers in promoting racial and gender diversity in their lineup, with both men and women, as well as Black and white musicians, playing key roles in the band. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, and their music continues to be celebrated for its influential sound and message.
