Artist Bio:
Sly & The Family Stone was an American band formed in 1966 in San Francisco, California. The band was known for their fusion of various music genres including funk, soul, rock, and psychedelic music. The group consisted of members Sly Stone (Sylvester Stewart), his brother Freddie Stone, sister Rose Stone, Cynthia Robinson, Jerry Martini, Larry Graham, and Greg Errico. They were pioneers in the development of funk music and were known for their high-energy performances and socially conscious lyrics.

Sly & The Family Stone released several influential albums in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including "Stand!" and "There's a Riot Goin' On." They are best known for hits like "Everyday People," "Dance to the Music," and "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)." The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. Despite their success, internal conflicts and substance abuse issues led to the disbandment of Sly & The Family Stone in the mid-1970s.
