Smokey Robinson & The Miracles were an American R&B and soul group that was formed in Detroit in 1955. The group's original lineup consisted of lead singer Smokey Robinson, Ronnie White, Warren "Pete" Moore, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Rogers. They were one of the first acts to sign with Motown Records and became one of the label's most successful and influential groups.
Smokey Robinson & The Miracles scored numerous hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Shop Around," "The Tracks of My Tears," and "Tears of a Clown." They were known for their smooth harmonies, catchy melodies, and Robinson's distinctive falsetto voice. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, recognizing their significant contributions to the music industry.
